What size pipes can be cleaned with ice pigging?

We routinely clean pipelines from 50 mm (2 inch) up to 1,500 mm (60 inch). For larger diameters we typically run multiple slurry batches.

Will it work on my existing infrastructure?

Yes — ice pigging uses existing access points like hydrants, valves or flanges. There’s no need to retrofit launchers or receivers.

Is the discharge safe for the environment?

The discharge is mostly melted ice plus the contaminants we’ve collected. We capture and dispose of it according to local regulations, with no chemical additives to neutralise.

How long does a typical job take?

A single section can be cleaned in a few hours. Most full network jobs are completed in 1–3 days, including setup, slurry production, pigging and verification.

What contaminants can ice pigging remove?

Biofilm, sediment, manganese and iron deposits, scale, struvite, fats, oils, grease and product residue in process lines. We assess feasibility per site.

Is ice pigging safe for potable water systems?

Yes — the ice is made from the same potable water already in your system. There are no chemical residues, making it ideal for drinking water mains and food/beverage pipework.
